Gay Marriage Fall Out: CNN refuses advert on Jonathan’s visit to China

According to reports,v American-based news channel, Cable News Network, CNN, has thrown out an advertorial by the Nigerian government aimed at showcasing the achievements made from the visit of President Jonathan to China some days ago.
Jonathan had gone to China shortly after President Barak Obama shunned Nigeria when he visited Africa some days ago despite the country being the largest economy in Africa. Obama’s refusal to visit Nigeria has been linked to the Nigerian government’s stand on gay marriage. The move by Jonathan to visit China, as speculated in some sections, was to look into other allies in business as America and Europe continue to criticise and threaten Nigeria on the gay rights bill passed into law recently.
China is seen as a threat to America and also the second largest economy and globally accepted alternative to the United States of America.
CNN reportedly claimed it snubbed the advertorial because some of it contents have political undertone in them. The station has arrogantly refused to release the money paid by the government for the advert but said it would keep it for future businesses with the country.
