There are reports that the House of Representatives has summoned the Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke, for clarifcations after the minister had issued a letter to the media, claiming he is been cleared in the scandalous $1.1 billion Malabu deal.
The lawmakers issued the summons on Tuesday.
ThisDay Newspaper last week had reported that the said sum of $1.1 billion was withdrawn from the account of the government of the federation without any appropriation by the National Assembly as required by section 59 of the Constitution.
